Gogebanque is a Rwandan Bank that aims to be the pride of the country by delivering an integrated set of products and services across personal and business banking.
Mastercard debit card are used at merchant outlets where there is a Point of sale terminal (POS). They are issued with the support of a major global card program MasterCard. They are linked to a current account to enable customers to withdraw money from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).
A debit card transaction is debited immediately to the customer’s account where the connection is online. In the event that the connection is not online then the funds are earmarked and the cardholder is debited shortly after.
Cardholder information is held on the magnetic stripe or embedded chip. Debit cards are also issued in yearly cycles as determined by the bank that issues the cards. For COGEBANQUE, the validity of a card is set to 3 years.
